Privacy Policy

SpeakFlow Live (iPhone, iPad, Android), SpeakFlow Pro (Mac, Windows) and SpeakFlow Translate (Chrome) · Updated 22 October 2026

SpeakFlow is provided by ESIMONE PTE. LTD. ("we"). SpeakFlow translates speech and text in real time. We process only what is needed to do that, keep as little as possible, and never sell your data or show ads.

Audio and speech

• When you start a session (subtitles, listen, conversation, voice keyboard), audio from your microphone or from the screen you choose to share is streamed to our speech provider, Soniox, to be transcribed and translated in real time. We do not record or store that audio.
• The voice keyboard listens only after you press its microphone button. It never reads or logs what you type with other keyboards or apps.
• If you choose an AI voice, the translated text is sent to Soniox to be read aloud. The phone's own voice works on the device.

Meeting bot

When you send the bot to a Zoom, Google Meet, Teams or Webex call, our meeting provider Recall.ai joins the call and streams its audio to us for translation. The bot is configured to keep no recording. Participants can see the bot in the call. You are responsible for having permission to translate a meeting where the law or the meeting's rules require it.

Transcripts, history and saved phrases

• Transcripts, summaries and saved phrases are stored on your device. They are deleted automatically after the period you choose in Settings (30 days by default), or whenever you delete them.
• When you ask for a summary, a session title, an answer about a session, AI clean-up of dictated text, or camera translation, the relevant text is sent to our servers and to an AI language model (currently DeepSeek) to produce the result. It is not kept after the answer is returned.
• Subject detection ("accuracy tuning") sends a short excerpt of the conversation to the same model during a session to learn names and terms. What is learned is cleared when the session ends.

Camera translate

Text is found in the photo on your device. Only the recognised text is sent for translation; the photo itself is not uploaded.

Chrome extension (SpeakFlow Translate)

The extension sends the subtitle text of the video you are watching to our translation server and, if you turn on dubbing, to the voice service. Settings and a cache of translated subtitles are kept in your browser. It does not collect your browsing history.

Calendar (optional)

If you turn on meeting suggestions, the app reads your calendar on the device to find a meeting link starting soon. Calendar data is not sent to us.

Account, licence and purchases

• Each app has a licence key and a random device identifier so we can apply your plan, meter usage (seconds used per kind of session) and limit the number of devices. If you buy on the web we also keep the email you give.
• Purchases in the apps are handled by Apple or Google; on the web by PayPal or bank transfer. We receive a transaction reference, never your card details.

Diagnostics (optional)

If you turn on "Share diagnostics" in the app, each session sends a technical log to SpeakFlow — connection events and the phrases the speech service returned — so support can investigate a problem. It is off by default, used only for support, and deleted after 7 days.

What we never do

• Sell or rent personal data.
• Show ads or use advertising or cross-app tracking.
• Use your audio or transcripts to train our own models.

Service providers

Cloudflare (hosting and database), Soniox (speech recognition, translation and voices), Recall.ai (meeting bot), DeepSeek (summaries and text tools), Apple and Google (app purchases), PayPal (web payments). Each processes data only to provide its part of the service.

Your choices and rights

You can delete history in the app at any time, turn off optional features, and revoke microphone, calendar or screen-sharing permission in your device settings. To access or delete the account data we hold (licence, email, usage records), email support@speakflowlive.com and we will respond within 30 days.

Children

SpeakFlow is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
